Under the management of Chuck Cook the gates at Magnolia Speedway had always been open to the general public 24 / 7 but now he prepares to close the gates for the first and last time.

Chuck Cook helped build and co-owned with Frank Imes, the Magnolia Motor Speedway until February 2008 when it was sold to the investment group of Magnolia Motorplex Associates, LLC.

Over the past 5 race seasons, the speedway has developed to be one of the finest facilities and most respected tracks in the racing industry under the guidance of Chuck. "The Mag" has become well known for its professional presentation of events, including "Grilling on the River", special racing events, and timely conclusions.  Chuck and his staff want to express their gratitude for the many sponsors, drivers, employees, state and local politicians, and numerous friends that helped make Magnolia Motor Speedway a success and a contender for one of the top tracks in the nation.

Chuck will spend his time focusing on his real estate projects in Collierville, TN and Boise, ID. Chuck plans to travel and become more involved in community events around the Columbus, MS area. Chuck and his staff have laid a foundation for a premier racing facility and hope that it keeps getting bigger and better as the years go on.

Again, Chuck would like to express his thanks to the sponsors, employees, race teams, and race drivers for making his time at the Magnolia Motor Speedway very enjoyable.
